Applying for a fan booth

Are you an artist or part of a fan project and would like to exhibit at DoKomi? Then you will find all the information about the general registration and application process for our fan booths below.

When and where will DoKomi 2025 take place?

DoKomi 2025 will take place from 6 - 8 June at the Messe Düsseldorf exhibition centre and the adjacent Congress Center Süd. In 2025 we will be using over 200,000 m² of space and, in addition to the Congress Center Süd, we will also be using exhibition halls 1, 3, 4, 5, 7, 9, 10 and 17, which means that the site offers space for a wide variety of program items!

The location is further enhanced by the neighbouring Nordpark with its diverse photo opportunities and also benefits from the special role of Düsseldorf, which is home to the third-largest Japanese community in Europe and a large number of Japanese companies.

Who can apply for a fan booth?

Discounted conditions apply for fan booths, as we also want to support smaller artists and projects and offer them a stage at DoKomi. Therefore, only artists who offer their own works and products as well as people, groups and organisations from the community and fan sector can apply. Some examples of projects that we would like to offer a stage to can be found below:

  • Artists and craft workers
  • Fan conventions
  • Content creators from the scene (YouTube channels, Twitch channels or similar, e.g. VTuber)
  • Online blogs
  • Fan communities & local fan meetings (including themed Discord servers)
  • Cosplay photographers
  • Music projects (bands, singers, artists related to anime and Japan)
  • Gaming communities
  • Indie authors with thematic reference
  • German-Japanese associations
  • Indie designers

Note: Participation as a fan booth is only possible from the age of 18.


How do I apply for a fan booth?

Applications can be submitted from 19 October 2024, 20:00 to 31 December 2024, 23:59:59 via the following online portal: https://exhibitors.dokomi.de/ (the portal will be reactivated at the start and is currently not available)

In the form, you can then select whether you would like to book a regular fan booth or one of the larger professional booths. There you will also find all the necessary information on prices, bookable additional services, our general terms and conditions and other topics that are relevant for you and must be observed as a fan booth.

After submitting the form, you will receive a confirmation of receipt and can access your booking at any time with the login you have created to view the details again.

Note: You can also edit your booking until you receive the booth confirmation or cancellation.

After the end of the registration phase, we will check all bookings received and then send out the acceptance or cancellation. If you have been accepted, you will also receive the invoice for your booking with the confirmation.
